When Part 4120 is missing from staging for two minutes, mark it out of stock and ask the materials handler to restock it.
Configure the part and its position
Start with one configured part, its line-side staging position, and the inventory record that says stock is there. This example watches Part 4120, a folded bracket, at Line 1 · Bay A.
An empty bay alone is not the trigger. The workflow needs the configured part, the position linked to its record, and a confirmation duration before it can correct the count.
Wait for the position to hold empty
The position must stay empty for the full two-minute confirmation duration. A brief obstruction, a passing worker, or a view that clears before the duration ends does not change the record.
The marked region keeps the camera observation specific to Bay A and Part 4120. When the position holds empty, the observation carries its time and evidence into the record correction.
Correct the count in the record
The inventory record says 12 parts are available at this staging position. After the position stays empty for two minutes, the workflow marks Part 4120 out of stock and keeps the 10:41:20 observation attached. This describes only this position, not stock elsewhere.
Keep unclear observations in review
If the position is occluded, leaves camera view, or has no available part reference, preserve the observation for review and change no count. The same applies when the record cannot be matched confidently to the marked position.
Send the replenishment request with context
Send the materials handler Part 4120, Line 1 · Bay A, the corrected count, observation time, staging clip, and event EV-MFG-0114. Keep the returned request reference connected to the inventory correction so the software action can be traced back to the evidence.
A sent request records the software action. The position stays empty until the part is physically brought back.
